Habari (hoe gaat het) met iedereen? Excuses dat jullie zo lang verstoken zijn gebleven van nieuws over de gang van zaken in en rondom Kenya en Kenya Care. Dat wil niet zeggen dat er niets gebeurd is. Het hele Kenya Care team, zowel  in Nederland als Kenia, heeft de afgelopen tijd erg hard gewerkt en hier willen we jullie middels deze nieuwsbrief graag van op de hoogte brengen.

We hebben 2009 achter ons gelaten en zijn dit nieuwe jaar gestart met evalueren van het eerste “actieve” jaar van het Kenya Day Care Center in Mtwapa.

As you could read in our last newsletter, we started January 23 with the first group of women in the Kenya Day Care Centre. These women make up our “pilot” group. A joyful and historical moment in our short existence!
Notwithstanding  the regular and frequent communication with Kenya, it was very exciting to  return to Mtwapa early April, to see and to hear how the lessons went , how the women are doing and how our KDCC staff have experienced the past few months.

First of all we, the board of Kenya Care, wish to thank everybody wholeheartedly for the interest and financial support we continue to receive. It is good to see that so many feel sorry for the women in Mtwapa and have confidence in what we are doing. Without your support we would not have arrived at where we are today and have achieved.
